What is our national sport? Cricket would be a popular option. Maybe even rugby. Or even Aussie Rules. That’s definitely a sport people around the world identify with Australia (the clue is in the name). But if there was a sport that really summed up the characteristics of the country, one that really said something about the collective conscious, then it would have to be off-roading.
