So what are your plans for this Christmas Holiday? Stay at home, eat too much, and watch the same old rubbish on the box? Maybe get into an argument with a family member that’s come about as the result of being cooped up together too long? The few days we get off over Christmas and New Year are all too often wasted and, before you know it, it’s time to get back to the office at the start of January.

It’s funny how over the years, something that’s supposes to be about being together and enjoying time with the family has acquired so many chores. But this year, forget about queuing at the butchers for a turkey (they’ve probably sold out anyway), don’t spare a thought about getting the decorations out of the garage, just jump in the car and drive.

Once you’ve broken the Christmas hold, every year you’ll want to get away. Those few days are a precious opportunity to spend some quality time together, time that you will remember forever. It’s hard to say that if you’re just falling asleep in front of the tree.
