You could even say that as far as historical characters go, Columbus may be the luckiest ever. Not only did he not do what he set out to do, he didn’t even do what he did do, entirely by accident. If you see what we mean. If you did something similar at work, the boss probably wouldn’t be best pleased. And you certainly wouldn’t go down as one of the most famous people in history.

But discovery is not something that is completely in the hands of fortunate Italian sailors. You too can go on your very own voyage of discovery, right here in Australia.
