Woodville is a suburb in North-West Adelaide. The centre of town is about 8 km away, an easy trip down the Port Road. Nearby suburbs include Royal Park to the north, and Beverley to the South. Woodville has a long history that mirrors that of Adelaide as a whole. It started life a small village around the mid-nineteenth century, and stayed fairly quiet until 100 years later, when Adelaide's expansion brought people into the area. Today, it is a lively, multicultural place with many residents having been born overseas. There good selection of shops and restaurants along the Woodville Road, as well as the Queen Elizabeth Hospital.
